The modular synchronous generator features an upgraded cooling unit with up to 60% more air flow than provided by traditional cooling arrangements. This translates to a higher efficiency by:
reducing unnecessary fan power consumption adapting cooling to actual operating conditions preventing thermal inefficiencies
One or two flywheels to add high inertia and fast response to ensure grid compliance and help to balance reliable power generation.
The flexible, modular design supports a wide range of applications, from frequent cycling to continuous base-load, while enabling high efficiency and grid support. It can also be configured as a synchronous condenser for dynamic reactive power and fault response, enhancing grid stability.
